News Break has been around for awhile but many writers have heard the buzz about their new creator program. I joined the program a few months after its initial launch around November of 2020. Unlike with similar writing platforms, News Break seems to be a bit more selective with the creators they admit and the focus is on local news, both timely and evergreen.

I’m going to break down how I pick topics, structure my articles, and regularly earn a CV score above a 5 (their method for payments and distribution).
